Sina Eder: Teaching That Left a Lasting Impact 2026

Sina Eder. A world traveller who had already gained valuable experience teaching at schools in Africa and Asia. We said yes immediately. We travelled with her to Chachalung, and she turned out to be a real whirlwind.

From then on, Sina taught every class at the school: six days a week, seven hours a day. Unusually long by our standards, completely normal for her.

Alongside teaching, she ran an Instagram account where she shared daily impressions from Chachalung: humorous, informative, and sometimes adventurous. Definitely worth a look.

Feel free to follow her on Instagram: @sinaeder ⭐

Looking back today, we could say with real joy: our school project is working, and it works even better than we had originally planned. .

For Sina, who even began learning the local language Kulung, Chachalung was “the most unique place,” as she told us. We were incredibly grateful to have found such dedicated teachers. And are were already more people interested in joining. We truly hope that this project will continue for many years to come.

We would like to sincerely thank Bad Hofgastein Primary School, whose social project raised a very generous donation for the school. Students helping students: a wonderful sign of lived solidarity.

If we have to sum it up, Sina Eder was a lottery win. A week ago, she returned to Salzburg with a backpack full of memories and experiences. She put teaching in Chachalung on new footing. The children and her colleagues loved her and, in truth, hardly wanted to let her go.

During her time there, several projects were realised. Sina even passed a Nepali language exam, which is far from easy. Deep down, she was probably already thinking about whether she might one day return to Chachalung.

Sina left the school with something lasting behind: “Sina’s Room”, a play and learning room. A place where children can borrow books and read, play games together, learn, and simply enjoy spending time. A meeting point and a space that feels warm and welcoming.

Thank you, Sina. You did an outstanding job.
